Sofia Varino

Sofia Varino is a New York City based multidisciplinary artist working with duration, movement and digital media. She is a member of the Harmattan Theater Company and curates the ongoing digital installation Chronocorpus, a real time archive of oceanic histories, in collaboration with artistic director May Joseph.
Varino is currently working on a doctorate in Cultural Studies with a concentration in philosophy and the arts at Stony Brook State University of New York. Research interests include body theory, science studies, phenomenology and aesthetics.
